Homemade Butter Naan





Ingredients:

1 teaspoon sugar 
1/2 cup warm water
1 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast 
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour 
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon melted butter
Some other butter for greasing the cast iron pan. 

Method:

Add the sugar, warm water, and yeast together in a bowl, mix to combine. Let rest until yeast is activated. (Should look foamy 7-10mins)

Add all dry ingredients into large mixing bowl. Add yeast-sugar-water mixture. Add yogurt. Mix and knead until the dough is stretchy and smooth. Put in bowl and  cover  with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place. Should double in size, about 1 hour.

After it has risen, form into large ball and then cut ball of dough into eight equal parts. 

Roll 8 parts of dough out into individual circles. 

Grease pan, cook. Be careful as they will cook very fast. 

To finish, after cooked, brush melted butter and salt to taste.

Pro tip: Best served with Hummas or SahePanrre
