Easy Organic Sugar Cookie Cutouts

1 C salted organic butter (room temp)
1.5 C organic sugar
1 organic egg
1.5 tsp organic vanilla extract
2.75 C organic flour
1 tsp aluminum-free baking powder
1tsp Himalayan salt

1. Preheat oven to 350* F.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
4. Add salt, mix. Add baking powder, mix. Then add flour 1 cup at a time and mix.
5. Divide dough into two balls. Roll one out into a 12" circle 1/4" thick on a floured surface. If it's too thin, the cutouts will rip when putting them on the cookie sheet. Dip cookie cutters in flour before each use. Bake 15 to 20 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet (I prefer glass). They are done when lightly brown. Don't over bake. Makes about 3 dozen.

6. Decorate with organic botanical-colored frosting when completely cooled.

Recipe can be doubled.
