Start Clean Eating

It was May 2012 when my family and I decided to take the plunge and change the way we ate. No more artificial ANYTHING. I stood in the aisle at the grocery store feeling an overwhelming sense of aloneness as I read labels and felt like I wasn't ever again going to be able to enjoy eating again! That first week, we had asparagus for dinner one night. That was it.

But have hope, my friends! You can ease into it or jump all in, like we did. I suggest getting the book Balanced Living by Stacey Kimbrell ( She explains all about clean eating and living. She also includes a list of toxic ingredients you can bring to the grocery store to ensure you aren't going to eat anything harmful.

Soon we began to learn how to eat "yummy clean." Here is the proof:

Chocolate Covered Strawberries!

Organic Strawberries

Melt the chocolate and raw coconut oil in a saucepan over medium/low heat. Stir constantly until melted. Remove from heat and dip those scrumptious strawberries in. Let cool and enjoy! 

That's it! So simple! So clean!
